Day13- 7th sept 08 sunday

Time passes so quickly~! It’s Sunday again already! Another day of 7 storeys climbing tomorrow :S

Today, Dina and I went to explore! We took a bus to the ferry terminal and we then took a ferry to Wuhan-HanKou. We were cheated of 7rmb by the taxi driver who acted very friendly with us. Unknowingly, we went through lots of small alleys and make lots of unnecessary turns. I even thought he was good and tipped him with about 2rmb. Hah! Dumbo. Anyway, the ferry trip was cool and as I looked out into the chang jiang river, it felt kinda scary. It is so wide and deep. If ever a ship were to capsize there, it’s the last time I guess anyone would see the people in it.

The weather today was really scorching hot! Just by standing on by the roadside, my legs felt the heat and pain from all the sun. Dina could just lie on the ground and have her wonderful tanning session. HA! Except that you will confirm die with all the ‘no-rule’ vehicles=_=.
We met my friend, Jeremy, from FMS as he said he would bring us around. Btw, it felt safer having a guy around. All around were shops! They were split and segmented! All the clothes were in one area, the spices were in another and the shoes were in another area too. Cool ain’t it! But!! We were greeted by the deserted sight when we went to the youngster clothing area=_=. WHAT?! It’s Sunday man… It’s their off day? Sighh.. Disappointed, we took the ferry back.

As you know, whenever people asked where we are from, we would reply Guang dong thus when Dina and I went to a shop and the shopkeeper asked and we replied that. She then went on to say that we 说话很好听(spoke nicely), as she stayed there for a month b4 and she felt that they spoke with a really strong accent which she could not understand. HAHA! J You see, they understand our Chinese hor.

We went to Hu Bu Xiang!! A great place for food! A foodies heaven where all kinds of snacks, noodles, seafood and rice were sold! Dina immediately lighted up with all the food. We saw some weird gourmet like boiled turtle which has the head, shell and body still intact (it seemed to be frozen in its steps- so cruelL ) and some kind of weird mini lobster which I once saw on the internet that it was toxic.

Dina bought oysters and scallops back to the hostel for all to try. The garlic was overpowering but the taste was superb. Even our lecturer enjoyed the oysters. J Guess we will be going there again! :D
